Planning and realisation

As a service company for Berlin region, Grün Berlin GmbH is responsible for exceptional open space planning projects that are either supra-regional in terms of urban planning or policy or which require interdisciplinary, interagency management.
The company is therefore chiefly involved in the planning, development and realisation of open space projects for Berlin, as the German capital and a cultural, tourism and service metropolis, whose importance transcends the Berlin region.

In connection with Berlin’s role as capital and its further development into a supra-regional cultural and service metropolis, the company has planned and created sites and parks that enhance the cityscape. These are often of historical significance and planned and built in the vicinity of important cultural establishments. Such projects include Lustgarten park, Monbijoupark and Leipziger Platz in the city centre.

The company also creates parks and green spaces that span districts in terms of their location or function such as the Wall Trail, the Nordbahnhof Park and the green strip along the Panke river.
The company also coordinates and implements landscape design compensatory and replacement measures of city-wide importance such as the Bullengraben green corridor.

Grün Berlin GmbH is currently working on the following projects:
Gleisdreieck Park
The South Panke Green Corridor
The expansion of the Berlin Wall Memorial
The Christian Garden in the “Gardens of the World”
